A Custom eLearning Solution for a Leading Multinational Bank


An eLearning solution to train the employees on policies and procedures that help the bank meet critical lending obligations.

The Client

A leading bank headquartered in Australia with presence in more than 28 countries. The global banking services provider offers a number of services such as asset management, commodities, securities, capital, trading and hedging besides banking and other financial services.

The Requirement

The bank, which is a credit licensee, is renowned to be a responsible lender. As a lender, the bank is required to comply with certain responsible lending obligations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Agency (NCCP) of Australia. The company has policies and procedures in place that must be followed by the staff to ensure the compliance of these obligations. The organization had a classroom-based training program to educate the employees on these policies and procedures. To provide flexibility to learning and to transform the traditional training program, the client decided to opt for an eLearning solution. This is where SKILLDOM stepped in.

The Challenge

Macquarie provided SKILLDOM a number of documents, product brochures, training documents, commercials and much more. The challenge was to:

  •   To understand client’s expectations from the training program

The Solution

SKILLDOM proposed a custom eLearning solution. The key features of this solution were:

  •   Interactive Templates: A series of interactive templates were designed for this eLearning solution. Each template helped present the information in small nuggets of information helping the target audience learn about policies in an easier manner. Moreover, the interactivities helped engage the target audience.
  •   High Level of Customization: The eLearning course was highly customized. Each feature starting from the GUI and templates to graphics were customized to the bank’s branding guidelines and course’s requirements.
  •   Multi-device Accessibility: To ensure true flexibility, the program was produced in HTML5 enabling the client to provide access to employees on their own devices at their own convenience.

The Impact

The benefits of this custom eLearning solution were:

  •   An eLearning program that helped sensitize the employees about their actions and responsibilities that can affect the Bank’s Australian Credit License
