Mindtree Integrity
A Custom eLearning Solution for Mindtree Limited
An eLearning program to inform the target audience about Mindtree’s integrity policy.
The Client
Mindtree is an India-based multinational IT and technology services company. With a turnover of about US$ 538 million, Mindtree is of India’s leading IT organization, delivering services to more than 2000 clients globally. The organization that stands by the values of collaborative spirit and unrelenting dedication is a leading player in delivering digital transformation and technology services from ideation to implementation.
The Requirement
Mindtree has a set of values that the employees are required to adhere to. One of the company’s key value integrity is linked to several areas of the employees work life. The company that strongly believes in integrity makes sure that the employees adhere to it and provide the best services to clients. In line with this, Mindtree wanted to sensitize the employees on various aspects such as insider trading, fraudulent documentation, personal ethics, and other aspects that may lead to breach of integrity. This prompted Mindtree to opt for an eLearning program.
The Challenge
Mindtree provided SKILLDOM with a number of documents about the integrity policy and the key work areas associated with the policy. The challenge was to:
- Understand the integrity policy related to each key area
- Analyze the employee’s understanding of the policy
- Identify the situations that may compromise the integrity of employees
Moreover, Mindtree wanted the eLearning course to be anything but a usual policy and guidelines course.
The Solution
To meet Mindtree’s requirements, it was important to devise an eLearning strategy that would help present the dull content in an engaging way. SKILLDOM proposed a custom eLearning solution. The key features of this solution were:
- Real-life Scenarios: To educate the employees including managers and directors of the company effectively, multiple scenarios were designed. These scenarios were close to real life in terms of their content and presentation. Each scenario demonstrated a situation that could lead to breach of the company’s integrity policy and the consequences of the breach.
- Story-based Learning: Each scenario presented was linked to the other through a story. This approach not only helped the target audience connect easily across different policies but also provided an engaging learning experience.
- Navigation: The eLearning course was spread across multiple topics, each corresponding to a key area concerning integrity. To help the target audience navigate seamlessly across topics, breadcrumb approach was used. This ensured smoother transition across topics without having to visit the menu screen, saving time and making navigation easy.
- Rich Graphics: Each scenario was designed very carefully with rich graphics. Moreover, to sensitize the employees about Mindtree’s integrity policy, an animation video comprising of RSA animation and infographics was designed.
The Impact
The result was an eLearning program that successfully highlighted Mindtree’s integrity policy to all the employees. The program was loved by all the stakeholders and received appreciation from end-users. The benefits were:
- A custom eLearning solution that effectively sensitized the target audience to different guidelines and policies related to integrity
- Scenario-based approach that exposed learners to the real-life situations that could lead to breach of the integrity policy and its consequences
